The Luddite Studio LLC has made some changes for the new year. Last year renovations were made at 501 N. Kingshighway. The potters moved out and we no longer are in conjunction with Crossroads Art Studios. 501 N. Kingshighway is now the home of Art Glass Array, The Luddite Studio LLC and 501Gallery (upstairs).

Both studios have classes available and 501Gallery rotates local artists on a regular basis.

The Luddite Studio LLC, located at 501 N. Kingshighway, now shares the building with Art Glass Array, working studio & gallery and Gallery 501. It underwent renovations and now is under new management. No longer Crossroad Art Studios.

The Crossroad Art Studios has been undergoing renovations this summer and we are pleased to announce that the work is almost done! The Luddite Studio LLC and Art Glass Array studio will be hosting our fourth annual open house in October. The exact date is not known as yet since we are waiting for the renovations to be completed, but we're sure it will be in October. A definite date will be determined in the near future. So, save a date for our open house in October, all are welcome to come see the new face lift and the new works that will be on display and for sale. The exact date and times will follow.

Sessions will start for the summer & fall soon. Register early as the class sizes are limited. Due safety restrictions of the medium, ages for printmaking sessions is 16 years & up. Drawing session age begins at 12 years & up.

Sorry, press time rental has returned to $20 an hour. However, students with current ID will recieve a discount.

NEW CHANGES FOR CROSS ROADS ART STUDIOS

There are some new changes for the Crossroads Art Studios this summer. Sadly, we are losing our friends, the Sawyers, (i.e. the potters)who have decided to move out of the Crossroads Art Studios building to move on to better things. "Hope you have a wonderful adventure, guys".

The Crossroads Art Studios will be undergoing a face lift. There will be some construction going on , but the Luddite Studio LLC will still be open for business. Sessions are still going on, if interested in learning how much fun the art of printmaking can be come by for a visit. Studio open hours are still Mondays & Wednesdays 6-9:30 pm. Any other day/time can be by appointment. New sessions will begin soon, register early.

The Luddite Studio is now The Luddite Studio LLC. We're still at the same address, 501 N. Kingshighway, St. Charles, MO. (corner of Kingshighway & Clark St.)

Also, studio hours have been temporarily changed to Monday & Wednesday for printmaking sessions and Thursday for drawing sessions until May, 2011

THE LUDDITE STUDIO IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS! Sessions will begin Nov. 29, 2010, Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 6pm to 9:30pm. Visitors welcome.

Classes available now. Twelve week session of one night a week (Tuesday or Thursday) for $325.00. Payment in advance. No refunds after start of class. The Cross Road Artists Studios is located at the corner of N. Kingshighway & Clark Street.

The Luddite Studio has a private entrance on Kingshighway.

The studio is a 364 sq. ft. There is a 24"x48" Takach etching press. The largest image size available is 22"x 36".

There is also a 11"x19"portable etching press available. Both presses allow for Intaglio, Relief, Embossed, Monotype & Waterless Lithograph printing methods. Etching methods are not available due to lack of facilities for safe use of acids.

There are three gallery walls available for viewing at this site. Selections from the gallery are available for purchase through www.ludditestudio.weebly.com or by appointment at the studio.
